Madhava, a loyal cowherd and servant to a poet, falls in love with the poet's daughter, Hema. After Hema suffers a severe mental breakdown due to a traumatic family tragedy, Madhava sacrifices his own sanity and life's savings to enter the mental asylum as a patient to protect and cure her.
