Anakapalli attempts to blend a rustic rural setup with a routine crime and love story, though it largely stays on predictable tracks. The film follows Surya, a youngster drawn into the dark world of a local gangster, whose life takes a sharp turn when love enters the picture.

The first half of the movie takes its own sweet time to establish the village backdrop and character motivations. While the pacing is initially a bit slow, things pick up slightly towards the pre-interval buildup, leading to an interesting interval block that keeps the audience somewhat curious about what happens next.

The second half deals with the fallout of the romance and the core conflict involving the characters. Unfortunately, the momentum drops significantly here with routine sequences and predictable twists, making the pre-climax and final portions feel a bit stretched out and less impactful.

On the performance front, Vikram Sahidev puts in a sincere effort and handles the emotional and action sequences reasonably well. Tarak Ponnappa shines with his intense screen presence as the gangster, while Sandhya Vasishta and the supporting cast provide adequate support to the proceedings.

Technically, Davzand's background score works well to elevate the intense scenes, and Maaya V's cinematography captures the authentic rustic atmosphere nicely. However, the editing needed to be sharper to cut down the slow stretches and improve the overall narrative flow.

Overall, Anakapalli works in parts thanks to a few emotional moments and good performances, but it fails to leave a lasting impression due to its routine screenplay and slow narration. It ends up as a strictly average rural ride that appeals only in bits and pieces.

Vikram Sahidev: Sincere effort, handles emotional and action sequences reasonably well.

Sandhya Vasishta: Adequate performance, especially supportive in the second half.

Tarak Ponnappa: Strong screen presence and good intensity in the gangster role.

Trinadha Rao Nakkina: Decent acting contribution in a key supporting role.
