Korean Kanakaraju tries to deliver a fresh horror-comedy setup by linking Rayalaseema to South Korea. The film starts on a very standard commercial note, taking a lot of time to introduce the hero's family background, local conflicts, and a routine love track. For the initial forty minutes, the movie struggles to find its rhythm and relies purely on small comedy bits to keep things moving. However, the narrative takes a major leap once the main horror premise kicks in when the Korean spirit possesses the hero. The pre-interval portions, especially the hilarious dog episode and the graveyard sequence, turn out to be extremely entertaining and elevate the energy levels of the film before heading into the break.

The first half manages to keep the audience interested due to strong comedic setups before the interval. The interval block clearly sets up an exciting premise by revealing the backstory of the spirit and forcing the main characters to travel abroad. This sequence builds high expectations for a fun-filled journey in South Korea. The audience is left hoping that the new location will bring fresh situations, clever twists, and double the entertainment in the remaining runtime.

Unfortunately, the second half fails to live up to the pre-interval buildup and gradually loses its momentum. Once the story shifts to Seoul, the writing becomes very convenient and lacks genuine logic or surprise elements. The introduction of local Telugu characters in Korea feels outdated, and tracks like the Bulli Raju episode or the emotional backstory involving Srinivas Avasarala fail to create any real impact. While a funny video call sequence and Satya's continuous single-line punches hold the film together in bits, the climax mixing supernatural and devotional elements with tacky VFX turns out to be a major downer.

Varun Tej gives a very sincere performance as he manages two different shades—a innocent Rayalaseema youngster and a possessed Korean gangster. He fits the mass look well and gets the Rayalaseema dialect right. Ritika Nayak looks pretty on screen, but her role is strictly routine and underwritten. The real showstopper of the film is Satya, who practically carries the movie on his shoulders. His comedy timing, reactions, and parody mannerisms generate the biggest laughs. Other supporting actors like Sunil, VTV Ganesh, and Srinivas Avasarala do not get much scope as their characters are poorly written.

On the technical side, the movie presents a mixed package. Thaman's music is largely disappointing, as the songs fail to create a lasting impression, though his background score in the Korean bits brings a decent mass feel despite sounding repetitive. Manojh Reddy Katasani's cinematography is good, giving the visuals a bright and rich look. The production values by UV Creations and First Frame Entertainment are impressive, but the editing feels uneven. The writing and visual effects in the climax are the weakest links in the technical department.

In conclusion, Korean Kanakaraju ends up as a passable, average horror-comedy that works strictly in parts. The hilarious pre-interval comedy, strong performances from Satya, and Varun Tej's dedicated effort are the main highlights that make it watchable. However, predictable writing, a silly second half, and a poorly executed climax prevent it from becoming a full-fledged entertainer. It seems the Korean spirit gave plenty of energy to the first half, but completely ran out of battery after landing in Seoul!
