Maayavi offers a blend of comedy and thriller elements, with a screenplay that maintains a light-hearted tone throughout. The story is engaging, especially in the first half, where the setup of the kidnapping and the interactions between the lead characters are well-paced and entertaining. The second half attempts to balance suspense with humor, though at times the pacing slows down, affecting the overall momentum.

The songs composed by Devi Sri Prasad are catchy and complement the film's mood, though they do not stand out as chartbusters. The background score effectively enhances the comedic and suspenseful moments, adding to the film's quirky atmosphere. Cinematography by R. Ratnavelu captures the urban settings vividly, supporting the narrative visually.

Overall, Maayavi is a decent entertainer with a unique premise and good performances, though it occasionally suffers from uneven pacing and a predictable climax. The film's strength lies in its humor and the chemistry between the lead actors, making it a watchable film for fans of light thrillers.
