Sahaa - Life of Sanju arrives with big promises and pre-release challenges from the lead team, but on the screen, it turns out to be a generic emotional love story. The director tries to give a grand painterly touch to a very routine concept, but unfortunately, the painting loses its color very fast. The non-linear narrative style is meant to create suspense, but it ends up confusing the tempo rather than holding interest.

The first half sets up the story by shifting between Sanju's present life and his past college romance. The initial romantic track has a few innocent, lightweight moments, but the setup feels extremely routine and familiar. The attempts to build suspense around Sahaa keep the viewer slightly curious, but repeating the same emotional beats over and over weakens the narrative momentum before the interval block.

Moving into the second half, the narrative shifts toward real-life struggles like joblessness, family conflicts, and pregnancy issues. The drama feels heavily inspired by typical older Tamil and Telugu romantic sagas, but without the necessary emotional depth. The big twist toward the end is quite predictable for regular filmgoers, though the final emotional stretch manages to touch the heart in a few places.

Performance-wise, Shiva Kumar Kasaram carries the maximum weight of the film on his shoulders, showing good variations as a lover boy and a middle-aged man. Swetha Lakshman looks decent and gives a sincere performance, though her act needed more intensity in tragic moments. The direction by Nishanth Doti shows some promise in emotional scenes, but his writing fails to keep the viewers fully engaged throughout.

On the technical front, Shekar Chandra's background score serves as a major positive asset, elevating several dull scenes. The songs are decent on the ears but fail to leave a lasting impact after leaving the theater. Karunakar's cinematography visually captures natural setups nicely, but the editor should have strictly trimmed the dragging sequences.

Overall, Sahaa - Life of Sanju is a below-average romantic drama that works only in very few emotional portions. The lead actors' sincere efforts and the decent BGM are major plus points, but the routine story and slow pacing pull the movie down heavily. The lead cast challenged that they would cut their hair if the movie fails, but audiences might prefer saving their time instead.
