Sub-Inspector Yugandhar is a routine action drama film starring Aadi Saikumar that revolves around a mysterious murder investigation and a cop's quest for truth. While the premise attempts to offer an engaging thriller setup, it mostly treads on familiar, predictable commercial templates seen many times before in Telugu cinema.

The first half of the movie establishes the core conflict when the protagonist takes up the mysterious case. The pacing is a bit slow during the initial setup scenes involving character introductions, but it picks up slightly as it approaches the pre-interval block. The interval bang creates a decent amount of curiosity regarding how the hero will untangle the dark secrets.

The second half focuses heavily on the investigation trail, cat-and-mouse chases, and confrontation scenes between the police officer and the hidden culprits. However, the momentum drops in several places due to predictable twists and routine screenplay formatting. The pre-climax buildup tries to inject energy, leading to a standard action-oriented climax and a predictable conclusion.

Aadi Saikumar delivers an earnest performance as a sincere cop, trying his best to shoulder the film with his intense screen presence and action sequences. The supporting cast does a fair job fitting into their respective roles. The story and screenplay, however, lack freshness and suffer from clichés, while the direction by Raghavendra Katari remains average without elevating the dramatic stakes significantly.

On the technical front, the background score (BGM) by Marcus M works well in elevating a few key action and mystery scenes. The cinematography by Ravindranath T captures the gritty tone of a crime thriller adequately. The production values are decent for the film's scale, though tighter editing by S.J. Shivakiran could have trimmed down some laggy portions in the second half.

Overall, Sub-Inspector Yugandhar ends up as a strictly average watch that may appeal to hardcore fans of action thrillers if watched with low expectations. While the sincere performances and decent BGM work in its favor, the lack of gripping twists and a routine narrative pull it down. It is a passable time-pass flick for a lazy weekend watch.

Aadi Saikumar: Sincere and energetic performance as an upright cop, handling action episodes with ease.

Meghalekha: Adequate screen presence and supported the lead well within her limited scope.

Kadambari Kiran: Fair performance in a supporting character role that helps move the narrative forward.
