Srinivasa Mangapuram is like a glorious museum tour of early 2000s commercial Tollywood, serving up a story and template screenplay that was outdated a decade ago. The first half faithfully sticks to the ancient rulebook of hero sees heroine, song plays, hero talks to heroine, another song plays, with routine fight scenes dropped in between to keep everyone awake. The pacing chugs along predictably until a flat interval block, after which the second half attempts a heroic rescue with mass elements and the formidable presence of legendary actor Mohan Babu. Unfortunately, even Mohan Babu cannot save a narrative weighed down by a dull romantic track, cringe comedy from Naresh and Brahmaji, and an overused villain plot leading to a seen-it-done-it climax. G.V. Prakash Kumar’s background score tries its absolute best to blast excitement into every action sequence, but with forgettable songs and zero trace of director Ajay Bhupathi’s signature technical touch, this debut vehicle ends up feeling like an accidental time-travel trip back to vintage routine cinema.

On a serious structural level, the film opens on a serious note to grab initial attention, but quickly devolves into a painfully predictable routine narrative. Set against the backdrop of two powerful families—the Peddireddy family from Tirupati and the factionist Venkatappa Naidu family from Bellary—the story focuses on Srinu and Manga's romance amidst family rivalries. The first half is heavily weighed down by filler scenes and a repetitive song-cut-fight-cut-song structure that offers no freshness. The pacing feels sluggish throughout the opening hour, and the interval episode completely falls flat, though a brief flashback sequence around the hero's past creates a momentary blip of intrigue.

The narrative picks up slightly in the second half as it tries to build some mass momentum and engaging energy. However, the screenplay fails to sustain this drive for long, relying on a dull flashback love track narrated by the heroine and an overused villain thread. Among the cast, debutant Jai Krishna delivers a confident, prepared, and sincere performance with good screen presence and impressive Telugu diction, showing clear potential despite the weak script. Legendary actor Mohan Babu adds gravitas with his screen presence in the second half, but the writing severely underutilizes his talents without giving him any impactful blocks. Supporting actors like Naresh and Brahmaji are burdened with a cringe comedy track that completely fails to generate laughs, while Ajay and others fit their standard roles without making much impact.
