📖 Story
The film follows the marginalized Savari community living in Hyderabad's Paradise area without any identity. When Jadal returns from prison, he begins a violent rebellion against the tyrannical local ruler, Shikanja Malik, to win back the respect and identity of his people.
The Paradise movie started with big hype as Nani's biggest mass action film, but director Srikanth Odela somehow managed to build a grand set and then break it himself. If you wanted to see a big-budget movie turn into a noisy headache with flying limbs, this is the right place. It looks like the director wanted to make a cinematic heaven, but finally locked the audience in a dark torture room instead.
The first half of the movie is actually better and watchable. The director sets up a raw and different world for the Savari community very nicely. The mother sentiment scenes and the pre-interval buildup create good tension, and the interval block makes you feel like the second half will blast the box office. Even the comedy is missing, but that is totally okay because the serious mood keeps you sitting in your seat.
The real problem starts as soon as the second half begins. The story completely loses its way, and the movie just jumps from one bloody fight to another without any proper connection. The villain, Mohan Babu, is introduced as a big don, but the hero and villain face-off is so weak that it has no real power. Also, adding forced political references and too much brutal cutting and chopping of bodies makes the second half very boring and tiring to watch.
Nani worked very hard for this movie with a new hairstyle and rough look, but the poor dialogue writing and weak character make him look totally blank in many scenes. Mohan Babu and Sonali Kulkarni try their best to save the scenes with their acting, but the script leaves them halfway. The heroine track with Kayadu Lohar also feels completely out of place and unnecessary for the main revenge story.
On the technical side, Avinash Kolla's production design is superb, making the slum set look very big and realistic. Anirudh's songs are already viral hits and sound good on screen, but his background score is very loud and does not give the needed punch. The camera work is okay in the beginning, and the editing by Naveen Nooli needed a lot more work to keep the movie tight.
Overall, The Paradise is a big disappointment that tests your patience completely. It starts with good promise and grand scale, but ends up as a loud, bloody mess with no proper emotional core. Maybe next time, the team should focus more on writing a good script than just adding extra blood. A costly biryani that finally tastes completely bland!
Nani: Puts in great physical effort for his makeover, but looks ineffective due to weak characterization and emotionless writing.
Mohan Babu: Makes a strong impression initially with a powerful screen presence, but his character gets badly sidelined later.
Sonali Kulkarni: Delivers a dignified and emotionally deep performance, standing out in the crucial 'Mother' chapter.
Kayadu Lohar: Her track feels completely forced, random, and annoying, adding no value to the main plot.

📰 Critic Reviews
Overall, only a couple of songs and a few individual scenes manage to leave a strong impression. The Paradise attempts to combine a mother's unfinished struggle, a son's transformation into a leader, social oppression and large-scale action. However, the emotional foundation needed to make those elements work does not…
The Paradise begins as a raw, violent and potentially unique mass film, but loses its way badly after the interval.
, with Dasara, he impressed with a major Oora Mass role in Dasara. The audience loved it due to the intensity in the performance and the depth in writing. These roles click when there is an emotional connection with them. However, if that’s not there, despite the magic in conceiving and the hero’s efforts, the result i…
On the whole, The Paradise is a routine mass action drama with the fight blocks coming out well. Nani’s sincere performance, the pre-interval to interval stretch, and the chartbuster songs work, but the rest isn’t anywhere near what the team promised. The template storyline has been told in an underwhelming manner. Exp…

Despite negative reviews, the audience gave it a mixed response. With ₹100+ crore in collections and nearing break-even despite the flop talk, it may not be a Hit, but it’s not a Flop either. Commercially, it can be considered a success with mixed-to-negative reviews.
