The film revolves around an intense ego clash between Bheemla Nayak, an upright sub-inspector, and Daniel Shekar, a retired army havildar and son of an influential ex-MP. When Daniel is arrested for illegally transporting liquor, a small incident escalates into a fierce personal war that threatens to consume both men and their families.
Bheemla Nayak is a high-octane adaptation of the Malayalam hit 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum', successfully pivoting the original's grounded realism into a mass-oriented spectacle. The first half meticulously builds the friction between the leads, focusing on the procedural arrest and the subsequent psychological power play. Trivikram Srinivas's screenplay sharpens the conflict with punchy dialogues that play to the strengths of both stars, keeping the narrative racy despite the focused plot.
The second half shifts gears into full-blown action. While the original emphasized the socio-political undercurrents and the toll of ego, this version prioritizes 'heroism' and cinematic highs. The lodge fight and the forest flashback sequences are standout moments that cater perfectly to the fans.
