Tevar is a remake of the Telugu film Okkadu, revolving around a young Kabaddi player, Pintoo, who rescues a girl, Radhika, from an oppressive factionist. The story follows Pintoo's efforts to protect her from her tyrannical uncle and the ensuing conflicts, blending action, romance, and drama.
Tevar attempts to blend high-octane action with emotional drama, but the screenplay struggles with pacing inconsistencies. The first half is relatively engaging with solid action sequences and character introductions, but the second half loses momentum due to predictable plot developments and a lack of narrative depth. The songs and music by Sajid-Wajid are situational but fail to leave a lasting impact, while the background score complements the action scenes adequately. Cinematography by Laxman Utekar captures the rustic setting well, though the overall execution feels formulaic. Despite some entertaining moments, the film lacks freshness and depth in storytelling.
Arjun Kapoor: Delivers a decent performance with earnestness but lacks the charisma required for the role.
